Character Series
Our Character Series Wines were inspired by our favourite illustrator, the esteemed 19th century French charicaturist JJ Grandville. Works such as L’Autre Monde and Les Métamorphoses du Jour established Grandville as a master of his art and displayed a keen analysis of character and marvellous inventive ingenuity. The humour is always tempered and refined by delicacy of sentiment and a vein of sober thoughtfulness.
Similarly, our wines display a good humoured playfulness, though each is a careful illustration of each grape variety’s intrinsic character. Every wine an honest depiction of the best traits of the variety. Our ultimate aim being to offer benchmark varietal expression with a quirky twist.
